One of the biggest things when we were looking for a home in Kelowna, is we were from out of town. That made it a bit difficult. We had to plan a trip down to look at multiple homes.

We looked at at least a hundred homes and once we found something that we liked, it was a lot to put it together to go and see it. It took us two years to finally find this home that we're very happy with.

What we were looking for in a realtor was somebody that was patient. We were a little concerned about the overselling, you know that constant pressure? A great thing we found with our realtor as he was extremely patient with us. Even though he was working for us, we jokingly said, "Have you fired us yet?" Because we had looked at over a hundred homes, and he was extremely patient with us.

I think the best part about working with the Okanagan Lifestyle Group was, there was, again, no high-pressure sales. It was just so relaxed dealing with them and there was never any rush. It was just, "Hey, we got another 30-40 houses for you to look at, come on down, let's make a time, and let's do this."

One of the biggest things for us was we actually met the right realtor. Honestly, we did. For our personalities, it was perfect. One wouldn't actually know he was our realtor, it felt like we were just friends going and looking at houses.

I'd have to say a favorite part about working with the BRODY MADER LUXURY RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE was them living up to and exceeding our expectations.

I feel like that was probably my favorite part when everything was said and done and the smoke was settled. We were able to look at each other and be like, "Wow they really, they really did an amazing job." They went above and beyond consistently.

What I looked for in a realtor was someone who listened and someone who adapted to that emotional rollercoaster. Because one minute you want one thing in the next minute, "Oh maybe not! What I really want is actually this!" and just them listening to that and adapting. Someone who adapts and somebody who understands that making a home sale or a home purchase is one of the biggest decisions you can make in your life, and not putting any pressure on you.

I feel like they were very empathetic to the situation and putting themselves in our shoes. I feel like they were really good at making us feel like they were holding our hand through this journey.

I'd have to say the most important criteria when home shopping is making sure that: number one your wife is happy, number two is that it checks all the boxes when it comes to size, family, location. And we'd have to say that the home that we got from the Okanagan Lifestyle Group they checked all the boxes.

I would certainly recommend OBRODY MADER LUXURY RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE to a friend. I have recommended them and reviewed them each time that we did business with them. Katie's excellent so is Brody. They're both fantastic. Hands down, I'd recommend them. As a team, they work so well together. They were there at our beck and call. They worked very hard. At two in the morning, at 1:30 in the morning, Omara was like, "Can we get a visit? Let's change the listings, this is what I want instead! Or can you look for that?" And they really accommodated us well.

What I like about Kelowna compared to the last city that we lived in is the family atmosphere. We were very much living in hustle-bustle city life, lots of cement, pavement, buildings. So we appreciate the green, the trees, being near the lake, and it's good for our children growing up. Yeah, we have a five-and-a-three-year-old, so we were actually in a downtown Vancouver apartment, and just for us being out here, driving by horses every day, it's just a lifestyle change that we've completely accepted and love. It's the perfect place to raise your children. We love living out here. Yeah, we love our new home. We absolutely love our new home. Our kids love our new home as well we're very happy.

Our favorite part about working with the BRODY MADER LUXURY RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE is honestly the friendship we made. That's beyond what I ever thought about when I was moving to the Okanagan, but we ended up making some great friends out of them.

The contact that we still have, at least every two weeks we talk to Brody, his team. In fact, we've had him over at our place for supper on many occasions and that's a great feeling to have. Not only did we find somebody that was honest and reliable, and found us what we wanted, but his family and extended family are exactly the same people as we are.

How do we like our new home? We absolutely love it. Absolutely. I didn't think we would find such a home and a beautiful place. And the Okanagan Lifestyle Group showed us what we were missing out living out here, and they did that. It wasn't just showing us this house, he drove us around the community, drove us down to the lake, showed us everything that was at our hands, including the Spion Kopje trail, and everything that came with this beautiful area. It was the package that he found us.

How do we like the Okanagan compared to where we lived prior to this? There's no comparison. Living in the Okanagan has changed our lifestyle. We came from the lower mainland and lived in Langley and North Delta and the suburbs and the busyness and just the workload and everything, it completely changed when we came here. We have family coming up every week, if not every second week and we love having them here. We enjoy the lake, we enjoy the wineries- our neighbors. Our neighbors are awesome. People take the time out for themselves here. It's not all about the business and the work and everything else.

What has changed? It's made us slow down, and appreciate what we have and the beautiful place we live in.
